This is a computer used by Steve McBride
Steve in a hat
who is an engineer with the Space Physics Group
at the Space Sciences Laboratory at U.C. Berkeley.
I am involved with a number of projects at S.S.L. including
a gamma ray telescope carried by a long duration high altitude balloon
which we usually fly in Antarctica
in collaberation with a group from U.C. San Diego.

I have also worked on the ill-fated Mars Observer Spacecraft :^(
, the Wind Spacecraft
Wind Sattelite
and the Equator-S Spacecraft
A more detailed description of WIND is available from ISTP.

I spent several years developing a Pulse Shape Discriminator for the spectrometer that is part of the Integral Spacecraft , a collaboration with CESR in Tolouse

I developed the STE part of STEREO IMPACT , a pair of satellites to measure the Sun and Solar Wind

I'm now working on the Nuclear Compton Telescope NCT , a Balloon-born Imaging Gamma Ray Telescope

On the personal side, I have a family . I live with my daughter Vicki , who of course is a little angel in the eyes of her father. But little girls have a habit of growing up, graduating from high school, and going off to college.
